We are also pleased to introduce you to ChiChi Stewart, our instructor at our Kirkland site. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing then went on to gather experience for the next 14 years in multiple health care settings-from inpatient psychiatry to medical surgical units to outpatient care in clinic settings, both in the United States and Saudi Arabia.
She also paints and writes and loves to ride horses. She is currently certified as a Community Instructor and a Home Care Aide by the state of Washington. ChiChi believes that knowledge can lead to compassion and that no act of creativity is ever wasted. ChiChi and her village have successfully raised 5 children.
We are equally pleased to introduce you to Marian McGunagle, our Instructor at our Tacoma site. Her passion has always been to serve others and this calling led her to volunteer with Mercy Ships, where she supported the medical team that performed cleft lip and palate surgeries in third world countries. Marian has also served in her local community as a children’s pastor and associate pastor. Her many years of experience also includes working for the City of Milton, where she organized community events.
Marian found that her hands-on experience as a caregiver has proven vital in preparing her to teach the Home Care

We are pleased to introduce you to Paula Drake, our lead instructor for Namaste Training. She has been teaching adults and children for over 30 years. Paula developed the curriculum for the HCA (Home Care Aide) 75 hour certification after having taught the previous RFOC (Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving) approved by the state of Washington for our school. In addition to teaching HCA students, Paula has spent most of her career in the field of pre-hospital emergency medicine and both physical and emotional trauma.
She spent many years taking care of the elderly with physical and mental health infirmities such as MS, COPD and

The fondness and respect Marian has for seniors developed from the special relationship she shared with her “Oma” (grandmother), whom she considered her best friend. Marian and her husband have 4 children.

dementia. Paula currently serves as a chaplain for the Mukilteo Police Department, Chief of Fire and EMS for Evergreen Speedway, and is a national disaster response volunteer with the Medical Reserve Corps and the American Red Cross as medical and psychological first aid provider.
Paula enjoys spending time with her husband and best friend participating in family activities such as sports, camping and traveling. She and her husband have 5 children and 8 grandchildren.
